Meet the Owner!

Beth, a Chicago native, earned a Master’s degree in Social Work and has over twenty years of experience as an early childhood educator. Later, she worked as a member of a mobile crisis response team. Beth stepped back from the workforce to focus on providing the love and extra support that Nicholas would need. Beth is passionate about volunteering and gives her free time to various causes which includes their local library. She also enjoys fitness, playing pickleball, and reading about healthy habits and personal growth.

When the pandemic arrived Nicholas was only a year and a half old, just when he was prime for playdates and socialization with other kids. With isolation in place, eventually, came Zoom calls for speech therapy, and when they emerged two and a half years later from their home, in-person speech therapy and additional occupational therapy. Nicholas is a clever child with a wonderful sense of imagination, who loves to craft and create stories for heroes and villains. He is “a lot”, as they had become accustomed to saying; They would also learn that he is a strong sensory seeker.

Todd is a former IT consulting business owner and corporate IT Systems Manager who enjoys cooking and playing pickleball, golf, and cue sports. An ardent supporter of food security, Todd and Beth provide material financial support to local food security initiatives such as the Chicago Food Depository, several supplemental holiday meal programs, as well as Heifer International. A believer in the value of access to education through public broadcasting, they also support Chicago PBS and NPR services. Presently, Todd is working to improve and expand the Franklin Park gym and will work to develop additional locations to benefit all kids.

  • Crash mats and crash pillows – for fun, motor planning, and strength
  • Zip line – for stress release and joint and body relaxation
  • Trampoline – for building leg and core strength
  • Indoor play structure – for climbing and increasing playground skills
  • Sensory-based toys – for improved auditory processing and fine motor skills
  • Fine Motor and Arts and Crafts Area – for improved hand-eye coordination
